the presumptious attitude that induces these kids to pray for the gaining of "qualities" that are lacking in people is really self-righteous. It seems like "good" behavior is an end in itself here while so many inner problems usually not allowed to be expressed in such a hyper-legalistic environment, are ignored altogether. Right action is not a reliable gague for inner motive or the state of a person's emotional or spiritual condition. It is really sad that this still goes on in IBLP. But what can we expect? Nothing's changed really.
Oh, and the not-so-descreet advertisement of Gothard's book proves my point about motives I think.
The advertisement of the book does not prove your point; it is an example of your postulate.
Oh, what great things we can expect from the next generation now that chalk drawing has been mastered. Thanks to chalk drawing, all the world's problems will be eradicated.
Light in the darkness, eh? Let's be a light in the darkness and show Christian freedom to the captives in the legalistic ATI darkness.
Wow! The world will be saved. Finally there is one man who can defeat the powers of darkness (wait a second, doesn't that only belong to Christ alone?).
Speaking from expirience, these "claims" of lives changing and the world being reached is way over-rated. They take a few testimonials and make it into "everyone" and "all".
I'm glad to see the blondes still run the Institute, though. Good to know that even though ATI is getting tiny and very insignificant, they stick to their core principles of having cuties out front.

Yes, many amazing things did happen I'm sure, so why weren't they in the video? Also, aren't these the same things that have been happening for years? Seems like the testimonies get recycled.
They need to show the desolate TC's because that was truly the biggest thing happening. The death of the TC's, funds drying up and even more families leaving HQ.

I noticed their shining faces at once and my first thought was: "Doesn't Oil of Olay make something that could help them with that?"
