Bono an IBLP alumnus?

from the interview...

How big an influence is the Bible on your songwriting? How much do you draw on its imagery, its ideas?

I don't read it as a historical book. I don't read it as, "Well, that's good advice." I let it speak to me in other ways. They call it the rhema. It's a hard word to translate from Greek, but it sort of means it changes in the moment you're in. It seems to do that for me.

I think Bono should teach the basic seminar.

at least the music wouldn't put you to sleep...but the glorious leader's little red book would have to be reworked to omit the satanic nature of the backbeat. Maybe he could be the special guest musician at Knoxville (or wherever it is that they hold the cult gatherings these days) and save the poor kids from rupturing vocal chords singing "It will be worth it all" in 12 part harmony.

Very interesting... how in the world do you find this stuff? I just went through the IBLP alumni db and I didn't find a "Bono" but it could be he came under an alias. Since we still don't ID registrants at seminars, there's no way to tell 100%.

Men who don't wear "Bono style sun glasses" have a problem with lust.

Instead of BC glasses (birth control glasses) we could call them BG glasses.

yeah... i read that interview, it was really weird when i saw "rhema" in there... i thought we ati-ers (and x-ati-ers) were the only people who knew about that.

To the above poster:
The 'rhema' concepts are also taught quite frequently in the 'Word of Faith' circles.

What most of you seem to fail to understand is that ALOT of BG stuff, especially from the "study" side is basic, seminary taught Bible scholarship stuff.

back to BG's combover...one windy day @ HQ, Bill was coming outside to join us for a picture when we all saw 'it' blow straight up in the air! he was quickly surounded by the secret service and rushed back inside (for more hairspray?)!!! tried not to pee our *skirts* laughing! ;)
